Crab Rangoons

Comments: Oh, baby, baby. This one is a keeper. Anyone can buy crab rangoons, but not everyone can make it themselves.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese: softened
  • 1 can crab meat- pressed and very dry
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1/4 tsp onion power
  • 1/2 tsp crush garlic
  • Dash of Worchestire sauce
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • Vegetable or canola oil (used is better)

Directions

  • Heat bottle of oil in large pot (for deep frying)
  • Combine cream cheese, crab meat, ginger, onion powder, garlic, and Worcestershire Sauce in a small bowl with hand mixer.
  • In a small bowl combine a little bit of cornstarch in water (this is used to seal wrappers)
  • Place small amount of filling in the middle of the wonton wrapper. Fold in shape of triangle sealing edges with cornstarch mixture. Fold wrappers like and envelope.
  • Place rangoons in hot oil for about 2 mins each (or until outside is golden brown.) Place cooked rangoons on cookie sheet lined with paper towels to extract excess oil.
  • Serve with duck sauce.
